Special Projects PDF  | Print |  E-mail

We use a Project Approach to compliment the education and care of your child and we organize special events during the year that will provide your child with fond memories and friendships.

Project Approach

Children have a strong disposition to explore and discover. The Project Approach builds on natural curiosity, enabling children to interact, question, connect, problem-solve, communicate, reflect, and more. This kind of authentic learning extends beyond the classroom to each student’s home, community, nation, and the world. It essentially makes learning the stuff of real life and children active participants in and shapers of their worlds.

Here are some examples of how we have incorporated a project approach in our education to your child. . . .

  • Just imagine what fun and learning can take place with Mud . . . Well, we did . . . and it was a lot of fun!!

Or, how about our Farming Project where we not only toured a farm but ....
actually hatched real chickens right at the Centre:

Special Events

Children also enjoy when they are able to participate in special events.  Dreams Unlimited holds special events for both children of the Centre and for the community-at-large.   We participated in a number of interesting and fun events, some of which we will share in these photos:

So, who said it is not possible to take an entire Childcare Centre out to the Movies . . .
Enjoying the show and popcorn too!

Then the Centre participates in the Lobster Carnival Community Family Bike Ride
. . . and we walk away with prizes and free t-shirts!

We also helped out by raising money to buy bricks to build homes in Kenya and always support our adopted child in Ethiopia.
